Hybrid online meetings

Our meeting room is now equipped to allow users to conduct hybrid meetings using their own Zoom or MS Teams accounts. The equipment is easy to use and personal instruction is available. This initiative has been made possible through the financial support of Dumfries and Galloway Council, the Gatehouse Community Council and the Gatehouse Development Initiative, to all of whom we extend our thanks for their generosity that has enabled this exciting development to take place. If you wish to make use of this facility, or simply learn more about its potential, please contact the Centre via email to This email address is being protected from spambots. Have your say – take part in our Community Engagement!

We are inviting local people, community groups and local businesses to have their say on the future of the Community Centre. This could lead to the redevelopment or replacement of the building – so it is vital that any future plans reflect what the community wants to happen.

As everyone will probably know, the building has a number of challenges, mostly relating to its age. These include the general state of repair, the internal layout, and the look and feel. The current condition of the Community Centre and the need for repair work means that it is no longer sustainable to continue as we are doing.

A recent article about the community centre and the public engagement programme has been published in the Galloway Gazette

and we have commissioned this short video featuring six local residents:

Paper copies of a shorter survey have been distributed to addresses in Gatehouse and can also be picked up and returned to our collection boxes at the Spar supermarket, Galloway Lodge, the Post Office or at the Community Centre itself..
